About CanBeWell

The Canadian Association of BioEnergetic Wellness (CanBeWell) brings together members from across Canada, and around the world. We are the umbrella organization for the many Bioenergetic Wellness disciplines and modalities represented in Canada. We actively encourage the pursuit of well-being and self-care for all, advocating for choices in health and wellness. Our association is a not-for-profit organization, registered in Canada.

Our purpose is to support CONNECTION, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY OUTREACH and ADVOCACY.

Core Values

Accountability - uphold the CanBeWell constitution and bylaws, vision and mission statements, code of ethics, and code of conduct.

Responsibility - acknowledge our duty to others, and self, as we promote holistic well-being (mental, physical, spiritual or emotional) as offered in a self-care model.

Integrity – ensure honest and accurate claims when representing the benefits and applications of any and all bioenergetic disciplines, as well other modalities.

Respect– hold in highest regard, and acknowledge individual rights and freedoms of others in matters that include, but are not exclusive to religion, spirituality, health, wellness, education and politics. To respect all individuals regardless of race, creed, colour, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age or physical abilities.

Leadership and Cooperation – provide leadership as we work together in creating networking and educational opportunities, and to increase the understanding of, and access to, bioenergetic wellness services.

Professionalism – maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in our work, participating in the CanBeWell Standard of Practice as applicable.

Excellence - strive to achieve excellence through hard work, innovation, creativity and prudent risk taking.

Change and growth – to value a culture which promotes ongoing opportunities for change through learning, professional development, research and participation.

CanBeWell is actively creating relationships with those in the Complementary and Integrative Health industry. We are proud to be connecting with Akamai University for advanced education degree programs, as well as the Global Healing Alliance. The World Congress provides us with a connection to our roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as movement arts like Qi Gong and Tai Chi. We are very proud of our efforts to expand our outreach to the public as well as colleagues. This special award positions light on our opportunity to reach more people in our communities with our programs and members’ expertise.

The CanBeWell Canadian Association of Bioenergetic Wellness organization (CBW) recognizes the traditional, unceded territories upon which our association members and the communities they serve and are located, as well as the sacred and traditional territories upon which all those associated with the organization reside.

CBW brings recognition to the effect of residential schools and colonialism on Indigenous families and communities and reflects on how we are and can each, in our way, try to move forward in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

CBW acknowledges the importance of affirming and upholding the commitment to continue honouring the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action in efforts to improve relationships between nations and to educate our understanding of local Indigenous Peoples and their cultures.
