Chatting with a friend the other day, she was expressing how she was feeling out of sorts, but she could not put her finger on it. She expressed that it might be “melancholy” and not really “depression,” but some moments were “optimistic.” – These were the days she did not turn the news on. Is this describing you?
For those of us using BioEnergetic Wellness tools to keep our energy flowing and vitality in our lives, we are feeling this “Languishing” emotion as well. It is hard not to feel the breath of the world, and the sigh we feel. Perhaps the feeling of stagnation or emptiness becomes consuming and then it lessens, and the skies open once again. Finding balance and flow is important to stabilizing these emotions and physical experiences.
How might you be able to get past these stuck emotions and find ways to engage in energy building activities? We ask these same questions. How will our tools be useful as we all navigate the emotional rollercoaster of the pandemic?
Listening to the results of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Congress this past week exploring the power of movement, Qi Gong and Tai Chi along with TCM was inspiring. When we engage in activities that move the body, create deep breathing, and increase circulation and Qi cultivation, there is a greater opportunity for recovery from dis-ease. Being pro-active is key and steps us ahead of illness.
With these thoughts in mind, Paula Nowak Droog and myself decided to step forward to provide opportunities for the public to engage with the bioenergetic wellness tools we love in a virtual format. Each of us has created an 8-week opportunity for you to calm the system, open the energy pathways, and build resiliency for living with vitality. Our classes are FREE and we hope you will join us.

Tuesdays: “Tap and Tea” 2:30 – 3:15 pm Eastern on zoom. A tap class that explores basic movements and rhythm patterns, as well as some stepdance patterns that come from my home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We follow up with a cup of tea. To register please go to:
